Sadie Rose Burnham, 96

Sadie Rose Burnham passed away at her son’s home in Oregon on June 21, 2017. She was born on July 12, 1920, in Spokane to Sadie and Fred Taylor. She was the oldest of four children. She graduated from high school in Fort Benton, Mont., and attended business college in Great Falls.

She met and married her first husband, Norm Vredenburg in 1944. She had two sons, Gary and Don, then Norm was killed in a logging accident in 1952. She then moved to Spokane where her parents lived, and worked to support her boys.

Then in 1977, she met and married Walter Burnham, and loved out her days in Hayden, Idaho.

She is survived by her two sons, Gary and Don Vredenburg; three stepchildren, Ron, Walter and Victoria Burnham; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Walt; and three brothers, Dale, Bob and Dave.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, July 29, 2017, at Yates Funeral Home, Hayden Chapel, 373 E. Hayden Ave., Hayden.
