Rotary seeks exchange student families

| July 18, 2017 1:00 AM

The Coeur d’Alene Sunrise Rotary Club is sponsoring an exchange student for the upcoming school year and needs two families to act as hosts.

The 15-year-old girl, from Santiago, Chile, will be attending Coeur d’Alene High School.

Rotary exchange students live with three families during the school year, spending 12-16 weeks with each family.

This student is needing one host family from the beginning of December to the end of February and another host family from the beginning of March to mid-June.

Host families do not need to be affiliated with Rotary. They can have kids of any age at home or be empty-nesters. The host family qualification process includes paperwork, interviews, background checks and a home visit.
