Indians hold on against Volcanoes

SPOKANE — Cristian Ino hit a solo home run and Austin O’Banion had an RBI double to lead the Spokane Indians past the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes 2-1 in Northwest League baseball on Monday night before 3,885 at Avista Stadium.
Inoa’s shot in the second inning gave Spokane a 1-0 lead, and O’Banion connected in the seventh.
Cole Ragans struck out eight in six innings on five hits for the Indians. Josh Barlow relieved Ragans and Josh Advocate got the final out to secure the win.
Spokane (12-19) hosts Salem-Keizer (14-17) again tonight at 6;30.
