Paul Nipp, 67

Paul Louis Nipp, 67, died Sunday, July 9, 2017, at the Schneidmiller Hospice House in Coeur d’Alene. He passed away peacefully surrounded by his family. Paul was born Jan. 30, 1950, in Spokane, Wash., to Rhinehard and Ruth (Thompson) Nipp.

He grew up in Coeur d’Alene where he graduated from Coeur d’Alene High School. He played basketball and baseball. He later served in the U.S. Navy and was honorably discharged before moving back to Coeur d’Alene. He loved the outdoors, especially the St. Joe, hunting and fishing in the many lakes of the area. Paul will be remembered most by his humor, kindness and generosity to all he encountered.

Paul was preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his mother, Ruth E. Nipp; his son, Michael P. Nipp; his grandchildren, Brooklyn, Berkley and Michael; his brothers, Charlie Nipp and David Nipp of Coeur d’Alene; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and countless friends.

The family has requested that memorial donations be made to the Schneidmiller Hospice House.
