POST FALLS — The summer shuffle is on in the Post Falls School District.
Susan Webberding, who has been the interim director of transportation director since Robert Zook retired in March, has been appointed director.
Andy Priess, who has been an assistant principal at Post Falls High for the past three years, has been named the principal at River City Middle to replace the retired Mike Yovetich.
Mike Karlgaard has been appointed the director of buildings and grounds to replace the retiring Ed Adamchak.
Webberding started at the district as a bus driver in 1999. Prior to assuming the interim director's position, she served as the assistant director with responsibilities related to driver's training.
"Susan was able to transition into the director's position without a hitch," Superintendent Jerry Keane said. "She is very knowledgeable of the laws and policies that govern school transportation. She has proven she can effectively work with staff, students and parents regarding often complex and emotional issues."
Priess will become just the second principal at River City Middle School. Yovetich, who came to the district in 2001 as an assistant principal at Post Falls High, was appointed principal of River City in 2004 during the year the school opened.
Karlgaard has been on the buildings and grounds staff for the past 17 years. He was the district carpenter and most recently served as the assistant director.
"During the past three years, Mike was responsible for the direct supervision of buildings and grounds staff and oversight of their day-to-day activities because Ed was busy representing the district as the construction manager to oversee all of the construction projects funded by the 2015 bond levy," Keane said. "Mike made the most of the opportunity, and the department functioned very well under his leadership."
