Fire forces trail closures

NORDMAN — The Idaho Panhandle and Colville national forests have issued temporary trail closures on the Hughes Fork Trail and Shedroof Divide Trail in Pend Oreille County, Wash., due to the North Fork Hughes Fire in the Salmo-Priest Wilderness.

The restrictions will remain in effect until rescinded.

Restrictions include being on Forest Service Trail 312 from the intersection with Forest Service Trail 311 to the intersection of Forest Service Trail 512.

Violations are punishable by a fine up to $5,000 or imprisonment up to six months.
