Zotikos named executive director of North Idaho AIDS Coalition

Shana Zotikos has been named executive director for North Idaho AIDS Coalition (NIAC), a nonprofit 501(c)(3) Idaho corporation and community-based organization that began in 1989.

Zotikos will focus on leading the operation, management and development of the organization. Other key initiatives are developing and implementing fundraising events, managing donor relations, strengthening community partnerships and community engagement.

"NIAC is excited to have Shana join our team. Her unique set of skills to advance NIAC’s mission in providing care, prevention, and advocacy for people infected with and affected by HIV in North Idaho. Resource development, community outreach development, and program sustainability is key to the success of our programs and services," said Dakota Klinkefus, president of the Board of Directors. “NIAC's vision is to make an HIV-free generation become a reality through education, support and care, regardless of race, creed or orientation.”

Zotikos previously worked as a retail manager at Macy’s, Inc. and as a project analyst at Qualcomm, Inc. before relocating to North Idaho. She is a graduate of Chapman University with a master’s degree in human resources management. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Lewis-Clark State College and is pursuing her Ph.D. in leadership studies at Gonzaga University.

North Idaho Aids Coalition, incorporated in 1989 and based in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, is an organization serving those at risk for, affected by or infected with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). NIAC serves the 10 northern rural counties of Idaho. It is the sole provider for free medical case management services, free HIV and Hepatitis C testing, and free HIV education services.
