Benson, an outfielder from Post Falls High, homered twice and finished with four RBIs for the Cardinals in the first game of a North Idaho League sweep of the Lewis-Clark Twins on July 5 at Post Falls High. In the second game, Benson drove in the tying run, then scored the game-winner on a wild pitch in the seventh inning. “Preston came up big for us today,” Prairie coach Pat Call said. “He had a heck of a day today. One he won’t forget for a while.”
