Cordero homers, Indians top Hops

SPOKANE — Andretty Cordero had a home run and three RBIs to lead the Spokane Indians to a 6-3 win over the Hillsboro Hops in Northwest League baseball on Monday night before 4,709 at Avista Stadium.
Spokane starter Cole Ragans allowed four hits and three runs and struck out nine in six innings. Josh Advocate pitched three innings of scoreless relief to pick up his first save of the season.
Tyler Ratliff and Melvin Novoa had RBIs for the Indians (10-16), who travel to Vancouver to face the Canadians on Wednesday night at 7.
