Lums fall in final tourney game

BOISE — Cody Davenport had two hits and a run scored for the Coeur d’Alene Lumbermen in a 7-4 loss to the Boise Senators to conclude play in the Boise Summer Classic on Saturday at Borah High’s Wigle Field.

Justin Bates and Matt Gjevre had RBI singles in the fourth inning for Coeur d’Alene (12-16), which held Boise to three hits, but walked eight.

Boise scored four runs in the bottom of the sixth after Coeur d’Alene tied the game at 3-3 in the top of the sixth.

Coeur d’Alene — which finished 1-4 in pool play — resumes North Idaho League play against Lewis-Clark on Tuesday in a doubleheader at Harris Field in Lewiston starting at 5 p.m.
