COEUR d’ALENE — Prepare to be delighted by a whole lot of motion commotion.

Gizmo-CDA's third annual GizMotion Celebration of Creativity (formerly Kinetic Fest) begins at 11:30 a.m. today in Coeur d'Alene City Park.

This free, family- friendly event will feature robotics, games, food, activity booths, art projects, a beer garden and a kinetic vehicle parade at 2 p.m. with awards at 4 p.m. Innovation Collective's Nick Smoot and wife Kenna will serve as grand marshals of the parade.

Gizmo-CDA executive director Barbara Mueller said it's an event "to showcase the creativity that exists in our community."

"There will be the return of the Trojan horse and the shark, but the building of vehicles by kids and adults for this year's event is inspiring," she said. "This event is involving many people in our community who show the spirit of creativity is alive in our town."
