Jack Thomas Kelly, 77

The world lost an amazing man on June 20, 2017.

Jack Kelly was born on May 1, 1940, in Tekeo, Wash., to Tom and Peggy Kelly. He graduated from Plummer High School and then went on to serve four years in the United States Air Force. Jack then served three years with the Washington State Police Department, before joining the Safeway Trucking Team. Jack was one of the very few to ever receive the “Million Mile Safe Driving” Award.

Jack married Connie Lee Weaver on Feb. 9, 1963. He was a member of the Church of Christ. Jack was so very proud of his incredible family. He loved raising and providing for his two sons, Allen Thomas Kelly and Thomas Lee Kelly. He used to spend his time off camping, fishing, and riding motorcycles with his wife and boys. Jack loved to tinker and he was always washing, rewashing and reorganizing everything from his garage to basement to vehicles and bikes. You would not catch a speck of dirt where it shouldn’t be and you would not find a single tool out of place.

Jack tried to be tough, but had an incredibly big heart. He was always joking with his daughters-in-law and trying to give them a hard time. Spending time with Jack meant spending time laughing that true belly laugh. He really was a big ol’ teddy bear. Some of Jack’s biggest smiles came from the time he spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He loved playing Tonka trucks and building things with the grandkids and they adored him.

Jack is survived by his wife, Connie Kelly; his sons and daughters-in-law, Allen and Tammy Kelly, and Tom and Amber Kelly; his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Kurtis and Kayla Kelly, Brooke, Brady and Bridget Kelly, and Kain and Kamden Kelly.

Rest in Peace Jack! You will always be loved!
