Prugh powers into Lilac lead; Grove eighth after 2

Corey Prugh of Manito shot a 5-under-par 67 in the second round on Friday and moved into the lead at the halfway point of the Lilac City Invitational at The Fairways at West Terrace.
Prugh is at 13-under 131, one shot ahead of first-day leader Brian Miller of Madras, Ore., who shot 70 after carding a 10-under 62 on Thursday. He’s tied for second with Jesse Schutte of Florence, Ore., who shot a pair of 66s.
Russell Grove, the 2013 Lilac champion and the men’s and women’s golf coach at North Idaho College, is in eighth place at 6-under 138 (68-70). Connor Robbins of Prairie Falls in tied for 11th at 3-under 141 (68-73).
Round 3 is today, and the 72-hole tourney concludes Sunday.
