Owen Vesper Randall, 90

Owen Vesper Randall, age 90, of Post Falls, Idaho entered into the loving arms of his heavenly Father on June 25, 2017 with his family by his side. He was born September 18, 1926 in St. Maries, Idaho, to Elbert and Olive (Johnson) Randall. He graduated from St, Maries High School where he enjoyed sports and excelled in basketball. Dad served in the United States Navy during WWII.

He met and married the love of his life, Betty, in St. Maries. They moved to Post Falls in 1958 with their five children. He was instrumental in starting the Little League program. He enjoyed coaching several sports through the years and remained a sports enthusiast throughout his life. Following his retirement from General Telephone Company, he enjoyed working in his workshop, writing poems, and spending time with his family. He was a member of the Idaho State Horseshoe Pitchers Association where he earned several awards, including state champion. Dad was a kind, loving, generous man. He never knew a stranger and was known for his sense of humor and quick wit. He had a joke for every occasion.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Clayton and Stanley, sister Iris Wanamaker, and son-in-law Frank Weaver.

He is survived by his wife, Betty; daughters Diane Weaver, Wendy (Randy) Medlock, Jan (Chet) Lindquist; and sons Tom (Janet) Randall and Jerry Randall; 26 grandchildren; 56 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of his life will be held at 11 a.m., July 7, 2017, at Real Life Ministries, 1886 Cecil Rd., Post Falls, Idaho.
