SCHOOLS: Impact on society

I would like to answer Stephanie Gossard’s letter that was in Sunday’s Press. My feeling is the exact opposite of hers regarding our tax? dollars going to support public schools. I believe that our educators have been very transparent and worked very hard to get the most for our tax dollars.

I have read that if every child attended school, graduated high school and had either college or other job training, our crime and poverty rate would be greatly reduced, not to mention the individual’s quality of life.

Our investment in education is an investment in all of our futures and I assume that at some point, other taxpayers were involved in the cost of Stephanie’s education.
