OUT: But not down

Last Saturday I was shopping at Sowers Christian bookstore when a young man came in and stated that he had nowhere to go. He was wearing a thin windbreaker jacket and had no hat or gloves. He explained to me that his parents had thrown him out.

I want to thank the two ladies who work there. One lady put together a bag containing gloves, hat and some other things. The other lady got on the phone and started calling places. There just happened to be another shopper who stepped in and offered to take him to St. Vincent de Paul, and off they went. Thank you to all three ladies and what an example to start off the new year.
