PLOW: Post Falls applause

| January 11, 2017 12:00 AM

Post Falls snow removal crew, thank you once again. You folks are AMAZING. You all do such a great job keeping our streets (even the cul de sac where I live) cleared. I want you to know how much are all appreciated. I had to take my 89-year-old mom to Spokane Monday for eye surgery. You would not believe the roads over there. Awful. Horrible. Scary. Slipping and sliding. The Spokane Eye Clinic is off Bernard Street. Going up the hill was a nightmare. I have NEVER seen any of our Post Falls streets look like what I had to drive on Monday in Spokane. We are so fortunate to live in Post Falls, where keeping our streets safe is a priority.

To those residents who park their vehicles on the street: Shame on you. I believe there should be a minimum fine of $500 per incident, whenever a vehicle is parked on the street when the snowplows are trying to do their job. I read last week of someone receiving a $67 fine for their license plate being covered in snow.
