Lynda L. Freed, 70

Lynda L. Freed, 70, of Worley, Idaho, passed away Jan. 1, 2017, in her home surrounded by her family.

Lynda was born in Wenatchee, Wash., to Marion L. Garner Ells and Robert K. Ells on Jan. 25, 1946. The family then relocated to Prospect, Ore., where she went to school, married and raised a family including foster children. She and husband Teddy then relocated to Worley in 1996. Over the years Lynda worked at many jobs, but she loved driving the school bus the most. Many of the students called her “Mom” and “wanted to know when taco night was!” Some of her favorite hobbies included reading, gardening, crocheting, knitting, painting, puzzles and cooking.

Lynda was preceded in death by father, Robert K. Ells and brother Robert A. Ells.

Lynda is survived by her mother, Marion L. Ells; husband Teddy G. Freed; son Rick G. Freed (Lise); son Thomas W. Freed (CheyEnne); daughter Tami L. Freed (Charlie) and son Bobby Joe Freed. She is also survived by brothers and sisters: Beverly J. Cooper (Darrell), Richard A. Ells (Jan), Randy A. Ells, Raymond Ells (Linda), Lori J. Klegseth (Lonnie) and Russell A. Ells (Jean). She is also survived by a multitude of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at noon Saturday, Jan. 7, 2017, at the Worley Community Church, 30203 S. First St., Worley. Yates Funeral Home, Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, has been entrusted with Lynda’s care. Please visit Lynda’s online memorial and sign her guest book at www.yatesfuneralhomes.com.
