Janice Rae Jensen of Hayden, Idaho, left us on Dec. 21, 2016, at the age of 61 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Audubon, Iowa, on Dec. 14, 1955, to Raynard and May June Jensen. Janice moved to the Spokane area in 1999 with her two daughters.

Janice loved the people she worked with at Coeur d’Alene Homes and loved the residents there with all of her heart. She was an active member of Real Life Ministries in Post Falls, Idaho, and will now be an angel to many. Her two daughters and her granddaughter were the loves of her life. Janice was an amazing woman, wonderful mother and best grandmother ever. She was a dear friend to many and will be missed by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Raynard and May; and her brother, Richard Jensen.

Janice is survived by her sister, Marlys Mathiesen; her two daughters, Stacie Brown (Matthew) and Angelia Stamps (Keith); the pride of her life, her granddaughter, Blakely, and a second granddaughter coming in February.

She wanted to give a special thank you to her wonderful friends, her church family and life group that she loved dearly, and the staff at Hospice of North Idaho who comforted her and her girls in her final days.

A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, Jan. 6, 2017, at Real Life Church in Post Falls.
