Usdrowski leads Warriors over Tigers

HARRISON FLATS — Triston Usdrowski scored 30 points to lead the Kootenai Warriors past the Mullan Tigers 71-42 in the opening game of the 1A Division II District 1 tournament.

“(Triston’s) been playing great for us the last 6-7 games,” Kootenai coach Mike Maitland said. “He’s been stepping up for us since Gage (Maitland) went down with injury.”

Griffin Todd led Mullan with 20 points.

Dyland Wright and Hunter Whipple added 10 and 9 points, respectively, for the Warriors (7-10), who play Genesis Prep tonight at Lakeland High in the 1A Division II District 1 tournament, starting at 6:30.
