In Loving Memory of Frank August Boisseranc

Frank August Boisseranc, 81, of Rathdrum, Idaho, passed away and joined our Father in heaven on Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2017, in the loving presence of his family. Frank was the son of August and Caroline (Bonnet) Boisseranc and was born on Feb. 21, 1935. He was a loving son, brother, husband, father of 10, grandfather of 30, great-grandfather of 33, great-great-grandfather of one, uncle and a loving friend to many.

He married his childhood sweetheart and best friend of 61 years, Cherie, on Jan. 16, 1954. Together they created a lovely family with a lifetime of unforgettable memories.

Frank was a devoted husband and father. He worked hard to provide the best for his family. He made such an impact on everyone he met, with his big heart and his loving and caring ways — especially the grandchildren, they were each made to feel uniquely special and when they walked away from him they would always have a smile on their face. Grandpa was a very special man.

Frank loved the outdoors; he was an avid hunter and fisherman and also enjoyed boating and camping. These are interests he and Cherie enjoyed together and instilled in all of their children as well. His many other interests included playing the guitar, listening to music, leatherwork, rock collecting and gem cutting.

At the age of 17, he joined the Navy and served four years active duty. During this time, he was on the USS Princeton/Radar Division (seaman 1st class) in the Korean War.

After the Navy, he moved to the Santa Cruz Mountains of California where he worked in the family fruit farming business. After that, he started his own excavating business. Frank and his beautiful wife, Cherie, headed off to North Idaho in 1981 where he bought some land in Rathdrum and became a tree farmer. They eventually sold their trees at their “North Pole Christmas Tree Ranch.”

Frank’s faith and the Catholic Church were very important to him throughout his life. He served as an altar boy in his early years. Once moving to Idaho, he joined St. Joseph’s Church in Spirit Lake, Idaho, and became a Eucharistic Minister and a member of The Knights of Columbus.

Knowing Frank was a privilege. He was a very honest, humble and giving man. He was the best friend you could ever have.

Frank is preceded in death by his wife, Cherie; parents, sister, in-laws, nieces; and two loving grandchildren, Caleb and Donnie.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Katherine and Dan Beck of Boulder Creek, Calif.; son and daughter-in-law Bob and Lori Boisseranc of Rathdrum; son and daughter-in-law Don and Jude Boisseranc of Morgan Hill, Calif.; daughter and son-in-law Debbie and Curtis Molyneaux of San Martin, Calif.; daughter and son-in-law Cheryl and Fred Pagan of Campbell, Calif.; son Carl Boisseranc of Post Falls, Idaho; daughter Cherie Boisseranc of Rathdrum; daughter and son-in-law Francine and George McKenzie of Saratoga, Calif.; daughter and son-in-law Michelle and Bill Breitkreutz of Athol, Idaho; daughter and son-in-law Charlene and Tony Carhart of Athol; sister Marie Debucher of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho; brother and sister-in-law Jimmy and Sue Boisseranc; along with the numerous generations of grandchildren; and his beloved dog, “DOG.”
