SCHOOLS: Vote for community

| February 15, 2017 12:00 AM

I am supporting the Coeur d’Alene School District’s March 14th Levy and Bond because neither will raise my tax rate. Soon, the previous Levy and Bond will expire, and these will take their place and provide a continuum of support for our Coeur d’Alene schools.

I also am supporting the Levy and Bond because I believe they will help our community. As I read and watch the issues society is grappling with, I believe continued high quality education can help in nearly every instance.

I am thankful the School Board has decided this March to offer the public an opportunity to vote for both the Levy and the Bond. They prioritized the needs of the school district and came forward with a conservative plan for furthering the educational needs of our community without raising the tax rate. The Levy and Bond address the growth in our district and provides for the safety of our students. This plan has the added benefit of positively affecting nearly every student in the district.

I encourage the community to join me by voting on March 14th. Vote “YES” twice, once for the Levy and once for the Bond.
