MUSICAL: Catch it if you can
Sunday I had the JOY of watching great entertainment. The Play — Musical “Catch Me If You Can” at the Kroc Center was magical!
Full 10-piece band under the expert direction of Nick Thorpe with lead keyboards by Barry Aiken (both fellow Kellogg kids) was spot on. Really made the show into a show. Nothing beats live music.
Story was great, the acting and singing superb. The Kroc Center is a wonderful venue, state of the art sound and stage.
Casey and Oskar played a great father son. Oskar was able to portray the sadness of Frank Abagnale Sr. as if he himself were a failure in his 60s. Made a believer out of me. They and all the cast pulled off some real vocal challenges, not to mention they memorized their lyrics! Yikes!
Everyone with children should get them to the Kroc before this show ends next Saturday. Sacrifice a couple of over-priced coffees and let them experience great entertainment by real entertainers.
