Bob Dean Wilkerson, 81 (the Light of Our Life)

Bob Dean Wilkerson, 81, of Blanchard, Idaho passed away in his home Feb. 6, 2017, surrounded by his family after battling cancer. Bob was born June 12, 1935 in Price, Utah to Van and Winnie Wilkerson of Utah and was the middle son of 12 siblings.

He met and married Mary L. Addley of Duchesne, Utah. Together they raised four children and moved several places in the West before settling down in Idaho. Bob loved his animals he raised as a rancher and had a great love for the outdoors, traveling and camping. He served his country in the Army before becoming a self-employed rancher.

Bob was a simple soul with humor, and thought his family the same. All Bob needed was a strong cup of coffee in the morning, and good home-cooked meal by his wife (Mary) and family or friends to share conversation with while sharing his favorite drink. Bob will be a forever loved and cherished husband, dad, grandpa and friend.

Bob is proceeded in death by his parents, one sister and eight brothers.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Mary Wilkerson of Blanchard, Idaho; sons Bob D. Wilkerson Jr., Twin Lakes, Idaho, and Tim Wilkerson, Spirit Lake, Idaho; two daughters, Debbie Addley of Coeur d'Alene, and Tammy Vachon, Johnson City, Tenn.; brother Ned Wilkerson of Alberta, Canada; and two sisters, Fern and Carrie of Utah. Grandchildren: Cody and Shyanne Wilkerson, Tyler and Levi Wilkerson, Monique and Katie Vachon, Jermey, Howard, Candice Leffler and Dakota Ockert; and seven great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
