Post Falls store offers high-efficiency log-burning stove

| December 10, 2017 12:00 AM

The world’s first Presto Log Burning Stove, developed here in North Idaho, is offered at 509 Fabrications, opening Monday at 6512 W. Seltice Way on the west side of Post Falls.

Invented by Frank Reed of Hayden and developed by Dusty and Gary Henderson, the stove burns just one piece of wood at a time and can burn all night on one load of fuel. The Hendersons have built and developed prototypes over the last few years and have filed patents and tested them with the EPA to sell them in the U.S. and Canada.

“It gives the consumers a product that burns really efficiently for the dollars spent to put fuel in the BTUs they get out of it,” Dusty said. “Not everyone can lift a 50-pound bag of pellets, but just about everyone can lift a 4-to-8-pound log to load this stove that will burn all night with a nice even heat from a load of fuel.”

The product was voted the “Best new marketable product of the year” at the national Hearth Patio and BBQ Show in Atlanta. Hours at 509 Fabrication are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays and Saturdays by appointment. Phone 509-993-3767. Check www.509fab.com.
