ANNIVERSARY

Richard and Judy Bird

40th Anniversary

Richard and Judy Bird recently celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary with a cruise to Hawaii. They were married on Oct. 18, 1977.

Richard is a retired barber and Judy is a retired nurse.

Their children are son Scott (Diana) Bird; and daughters Shelley (Mike) Cheevers, Shannon (Matt) Howard and Shannon (John) Forbes. They have 15 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

WEDDING

Ward-Landers

Katie Ward and Kyle Landers were united in marriage Sept. 23, 2017, at Cloud 9 Alpine Bistro, Aspen Highlands Ski Area in Aspen, Colo.

Katie is a graduate of Mount Spokane High School and Kyle of Lake City High School. Katie works as an esthetician in Aspen. Kyle is a CPA in Aspen.

The couple honeymooned with a 19,341-foot hike of Mt. Kilimanjaro, safari in the Serengeti, beach time in Zanzibar and exploring the beautiful city of Cape Town.

ENGAGEMENT

Sherwood-Johnson

Jacqueline Nadine Sherwood and Colton Dean Johnson recently announced their engagement and forthcoming marriage.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Jack and Penny Sherwood of St. Maries. She is a St. Maries High School graduate of 2008 and the University of Idaho in 2013 with her Bachelor of Science in elementary education. She is currently employed at St. Maries Joint School District as a certified teacher. The bridegroom-elect is the son of Allen and Tammy Johnson of Post Falls. He is a graduate of Post Falls High School in 2010 and is currently employed at Raycap, Inc. in Post Falls.

They will be married June 23, 2018, in St. Maries.

BIRTHS

Everett Michael Anderson was born at 1:28 p.m. Nov. 26, 2017, at Bonner General Hospital in Sandpoint. He is the son of Eric and Jennifer Anderson of Bonners Ferry. He weighed 8 pounds, 8.5 ounces and was 21.5 inches long at birth. Maternal grandparents are Linda Borg and the late Michael Borg of Rathdrum. Paternal grandparents are Barbara and Alan Anderson of Guemes Island, Wash.

Aurora Shannon Werner was born at 6:06 p.m. Nov. 21, 2017, at Kootenai Health in Coeur d’Alene to Crystal Schneider and George Werner. She weighed 5 pounds 7 ounces. Sister is Emmalyn Schneider, 5.
