THANKS: Event benefits Cd’A school libraries

In October, the Coeur d’Alene Education Partnership held its fourth annual ’80s Dance Explosion/Disco Inferno fundraising event. The evening honored our Coeur d’Alene Public School libraries.

It was a fun-filled night of ’80s costumes and dancing, and because of the generous support of our community, CEP is able to give more than $1,400 to each library in the Coeur d’Alene School District, a total of $24,000 for the libraries. Over the past four years, CEP has donated nearly $90,000 in total to the district libraries.

The evening would not have been possible without the generous support of many community members, including: Lancaster Market, The Coeur d’Alene Tribe, Coeur d’Alene Art Auction, Macy’s, Avista, Hawley Troxell, Michael Nail CPA, Accent Floors, American Family — Miranda Hamilton, bankcda, Cultivation LLC, HomeStreet Bank, ICCU, Little Caesars of Hayden, Murray Group, NCCE, Overhead Door Inc., Our Town CDA, P1FCU, Paddy’s, Parkwood, PayneWest, Perfection Tire, White Pine Wealth Management, Coeur d’Alene Cellars, Syringa & Blue Bird Cafe, Centennial Distribution, Ideal Family Dentistry, Jeda Media Group and Cosmic Cowboy.

CEP is honored to acknowledge the valuable role our public school librarians play in our local schools. We look forward to seeing you next October at CEP’s 2018 Dance Explosion!
