Ron Stoner, 74

Beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, Ron Stoner, 74, of Kingston, Idaho, passed away Nov. 29, 2017, at his home. He was born Feb. 15, 1943, in Sandpoint, Idaho. Ron was the son of Paul and Helen (Rummell) Stoner.

He attended and graduated from Kellogg High School in 1961. He later went on to study at North Idaho College where he received a degree in welding.

Ron worked various jobs over the years including working for the Bunker Hill Mine and driving truck for the Post Falls Highway District, before retiring.

On May 7, 1993, he was united in marriage to Vickie Faragher at the Wedding House in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.

In his free time, Ron loved working on cars and attending car shows. He also was a fan of old tractors and was known to have owned numerous classic cars over the years. Ron enjoyed riding snowmobiles and was a talented water skier in his youth. He also had a passion and love for all animals.

Ron is survived by his loving wife, Vickie; seven children, Christie (Robin) Barker, Don (Peggy) Stoner, Rob Stoner, Shari Hicks, Heather Stoner, Darci (Bill) Todd and Travis (Dee) Furey and his sister, Sharon (Pat) Hewitt. Ron is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter-in-law, Debbie Stoner.

A gathering of family and friends will take place from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 9, 2017, at the Pinehurst Lions Club. All are welcome. One may sign Ron’s online guestbook at www.shoshonefuneralservice.com. Shoshone Funeral Services, Kellogg, Idaho is entrusted with arrangements.
