Sting Timbers under-14 04-05 girls: At the River City Challenge last weekend in Spokane, the Sting Timbers went 1-2 en route to the Silver Bracket semifinals where they lost 1-0 to the Spokane Shadow Valley Elite White.

Elise Frazier scored the Sting Timbers’ lone goal against the Spokane Scotties.

In an 8-0 win over FC Spokane Strasser, Mackenzie Goings scored two goals and Grace Breisacher, Macie Barrett, Abella Voight, Elise Frazer, Alize Duvall and Jocelyn Dennis. Dennis had two assists, Goings one. Mia Bond had the shutout in goal.

BASKETBALL

Hoops in Rockford: Area teams are invited to sign up for the 25th annual Harvest Hoops 3-on-3 tournament, scheduled for Sept. 23-24 in Rockford, Wash.

The event, held in conjunction with the Southeast Spokane County Fair, is put on by the Freeman Athletic Booster Club.

Age brackets offered are third grade through adult. Entry deadline is Sept. 15.

Entry forms are available in Plummer, St. Maries, Freeman, Rockford and Fairfield, and are also available at sespokanecountyfair.com or on Facebook at harvesthoops3on3 .
