3Cs: Lauding our law

enforcement

To our law enforcement:

There is so much negative publicity for police these days, I would like to help change that.

On behalf of Cancer and Community Charities, also known as 3Cs, I want to thank Major Kim Edmundson with Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office, Chief of Police Lee White from the city of Coeur d’Alene and Chief of Police Scot Haug from the city of Post Falls for assisting us at our Annual Appreciation Lunch held on Friday, Aug. 18.

Each year the 3Cs gives money we have raised to local charities and this year Chief Haug, Chief White and Major Edmundson met and handed out the checks to 28 charities totaling $113,550 for us.

They are great representatives of law enforcement and we thank them.

Kiwanis: Thanks for

Tasting CDA

The Idaho Panhandle Kiwanis Club would like to express its thanks to the many thousands of people who attended the Taste of CDA 2017 — a three-day festival of crafts, food and entertainment held in City Park Aug. 4-6. Our partners in contributing to the success of this event were the Lions Club, NIC Soccer, The Spokane Renaissance Faire, the Odom Corporation, Avant Coeur Gymnastics, Potlatch Credit Union, Allegra Printing, the Coeur d’Alene Fire and Police Departments, the City Parks Department, Domino’s Pizza, Cris Lucas and the city of Coeur d’Alene.

Our festival netted approximately $35,000 which will be used over the next year primarily to help children in our community and those in need.

We want to give special thanks to Mary Jo Kringas, our Event Coordinator, for the considerable amount of time, effort and energy she put into making this event the best ever!

Sincerely,

DAVE EUBANKS, president
