GRAMMY: Words ring true

I am writing in response to the guest column written by Leslie Wilde concerning the state of our nation. I couldn’t agree more. As a Grammy myself, I have been lamenting the actions, tweets, downright lies and bad behavior that define our current president.

This is the first time I have ever written a letter to the editor and in general I have tried to stay above the fray concerning politics, but I can no longer remain silent. As a lifelong Republican and devout Christian, I am ashamed of how far wrong our country has come. I fear for my grandchildren if we continue on this horrific path. But like Leslie, I am hopeful that we as a nation will come to our senses and unite as one to end the bigotry and hateful rhetoric that has invaded every part of our current government.

Thank you Leslie for a thought-provoking and timely letter!
