Dover Bay Development is expanding into downtown Sandpoint, and interest is high as construction is about to begin on Sandcreek Lofts, which is comprised of 13 premium waterfront lofts at the Sandpoint Marina.

“We’re getting ready to break ground, so we only have a few left,” said Marie Garvey, director of sales and marketing for Dover Bay. “This is your last chance to take advantage of pre-construction pricing.”

Several reservations have already been made on the vacation rental-style lofts, which has received final site plan approval and will begin construction this fall.

The Sandcreek Lofts will include four levels, a private courtyard entryway, stress-free maintenance and easy access with off-street covered parking. A contemporary/marina classic look will be incorporated into the style, with landscaping and hardscaping on the lofts utilized to blend into Sandpoint’s streetscape beauty.

The one- or two-bedroom vacation rentals rest alongside the Sandpoint Marina and feature premium views of the city and its surroundings, including Trestle Creek, Lake Pend Oreille and Schweitzer Mountain Resort, depending on the unit. The units will have open floor plans that will complement the waterfront style and maximize views.

Homes on the boardwalk level range from 637 square feet to 990, prices ranging from $299,900 to $429,000.

Lake Street level has a single bedroom, 645-square-foot property at $359,000 and a two-bedroom, 968-square-foot property for $429,000.

The third- and fourth- level properties range from 643 to 900 square feet with prices ranging from $359,000 to $439,000.

Moving forward on a reservation before construction begins also allows buyers a chance to work with Dover Bay designers on details and finishes within the units.

Dover Bay Property Management will handle maintenance and rental services for the Sandcreek Lofts, with Homeowners Association fees expected to be limited. Rental properties can be used as either long-term or single-day vacation-style units.

The advantage to Sandcreek Lofts is the proximity to Sandpoint’s unique and diverse downtown culture. The units are just steps away from numerous restaurants, shopping venues and arts and entertainment venues. The area is also widely known for its plethora of outdoor activities, as the units sit close to the Sandcreek boardwalk and surrounding walking trails, as well as the numerous biking and hiking paths.

Both summertime and wintertime activities are abundant at the Schweitzer Mountain Resort, located just 13 miles from downtown. The Sandcreek Lofts are also centrally located to the mountainside city’s varied events.

The Sandcreek Lofts are expected to be move-in ready by next summer.

Dover Bay Development is also seeing active interest and sales in its Dover Bay Waterfront Community, located just 3 miles from downtown Sandpoint and featuring several different neighborhoods of varying styles, pricing and location, including world-class lakeside properties.

The Dover Bay Waterfront Community has been adding an additional 100 slips to its marina village, which also includes an outdoor heated swimming pool and spa, fitness center, and an acclaimed, full-service restaurant, The Dish. Both residents and non-residents of Dover Bay properties can reserve and utilize a slip at the community marina.

The community includes more than 9 acres of beaches and park areas, 9 miles of walking and bicycle trails and 285 acres of forest, lakes and open meadows.
