COPS: Count your blessings

We are blessed and so fortunate to live in such a beautiful place called North Idaho. I could use more sunshine, but have learned over the years to think of the positive and be thankful.

One of those more positive things I am so thankful for is our law enforcement folks. We have enough of our own criminals in our own state to worry about, but also have to deal with many burglars, drug dealers, car thieves and more coming from our neighbor state to the west.

Many thanks and kudos to our law enforcement personnel who continue to seek out, apprehend and rid us of those who have no respect for others, others’ property or the laws that help to govern our society and keep us safe. Due to the epidemic of drug abuse and addiction, however, we’re faced with a seemingly never-ending dilemma. Be alert and vigilant; watch out for yourselves and your neighbors!
