Now for

the Tidbits

- Places evidently opening soon that we haven’t previously mentioned here are a Philly Express on Northwest Boulevard, a new location of American Eagle Automotive at 14304 N. Rockwood Court. in Rathdrum, Rumour Boutique expanding on Government Way and Chamira and Castaway Cellars stores coming to the Plaza Shops downtown.

- New places we mentioned earlier need to let us know information so we can write about them. In journalism, we say we need the W’s — what, when, who, where, etc.

- The ABC Farmers’ Market will open Friday, May 5, in Athol City Park. It will also serve Bayview and Careywood rain or shine through mid-October. Potential vendors can call Julie McKerracher at 818-0208, email abcfarmersmarket@gmail.com or check it on Facebook.

- Readers commented on last week’s posting of the new convenient and cheap Rail Link (train) in Seattle. The last stop north is near the stadium at the University of Washington. To explore UW, walk up the hill past the fountain to Red Square. Look south for a great view of Mt. Rainier. Up the stairs from the square is Suzallo Library. Walk in, up the winding grand staircase and into the reading room above the square. It is just like the Great Hall for Harry Potter. Wow. Be quiet.

- The open house for Art Place Sandpoint is 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at 120 S. Second Ave. The grand opening is 4-7 p.m. May 6. Details here next week.

- Oh. The Associated Press Stylebook has changed. The spelling is now “flyer” for a pamphlet. It was “flier.”

- The best way to get back on your feet is to miss a car payment.

- A real headline: War dims hope for peace.
