Public hearing on education rules April 20

COEUR d'ALENE — The public is invited to provide feedback on changes in K-12 education rules for school buses, special education, academic standards and more during a public hearing on April 20.

The hearing will be from 6 to 8 p.m. at The Coeur d'Alene Resort's Bay One Meeting Room.

The public hearing process throughout the state will lead to formal recommendations to be placed before the State Board of Education this fall. Public comment will be accepted through April 26.

The proposals include rule modifications or additions for:

- Professional Standards Commission revisions

- Standards for Idaho School Buses and Operations Manual

- College Entrance Examination

- Extended Content Standards

- Special Education Manual

- Content Standards: Science, Driver Education, Information and Communication Technology.
