GARBAGE: Little help, please?

I read the article regarding Shirley Freeman and the complaints against her for not cleaning up her property. My question is: Has anyone offered to help her? If so, and she has declined, then by all means prosecute and shame on her. However, if no one — even her “upscale” neighbors — has offered to help, perhaps a different story should be written.

I read from time to time in my favorite newspaper that the elderly and/or disabled are helped with yard work, painting, etc., by good Samaritans. Where are they in this instance? I would be happy to help her and I plan to reach out to her. Join me?
