North Idaho Retired Educators will begin meeting again Monday, Sept. 26 at the Garden Plaza in Post Falls.

Co-President Doug Cresswell, retired Coeur d’Alene superintendent, invites all newly retired or “oldly” retired educators to join the group. The organization includes all retired teachers, administrators and teaching assistants. Retired educators need not have had their careers in local districts; retirees from any U.S. school district are welcome to join the group. It meets the last Monday of each month, September through May.

The North Idaho Retired Educators group aspires to keep abreast of education, especially in the state of Idaho, as a part of the Idaho State Retired Educators. Statewide, the organization studies legislation affecting education and new trends and developments which affect our children and teachers.

The luncheon meetings include business and a varied program of topics of interest to the group.

This month’s meeting will welcome any guests who desire to join the group for lunch. Call Karen Melton, 773-1349 to reserve a lunch.
