PARENT: A parking peeve

| September 11, 2016 9:00 PM

Thursday was the first day I was able to drop off and pick up my son from school as I am scheduled Monday-Friday. He goes to Canfield Middle School. Over the last two years he has gone there and I was able to pick or drop him off, I would drop him off at the playfield access and when I picked him up, I would park in the rear of the gas station.

Thursday I picked him up at the rear of the gas station and there were a lot of cars waiting to pick up their children — more than I have seen before. As I am waiting there an employee of this station comes out and videos all of our vehicles and license plates. We parents all live nearby and frequent this station and buy gas. Not to mention the money our children spend every morning and after school lining up because only a few are allowed in the store at a time.

I know where this is going but I will tell you, you are across from a school. Our kids and I purchase products and gas from you. We are only there for no more than 15 minutes and we DO NOT block your parking, we DO NOT stop any income. We actually make you income. If you have a problem with our 15 minutes then close down, go somewhere else, as I will not spend another dollar in your overpriced store again.
