Old SWAC rival CSI sweeps Cards

TWIN FALLS — In a matchup of longtime rivals in the Scenic West Athletic Conference, the host College of Southern Idaho swept North Idaho College 25-15, 25-20, 25-16 in nonconference volleyball play Thursday night.

Brittany Gay had 23 assists and 10 digs for NIC (4-7) left the SWAC and the NJCAA for the Northwest Athletic Conference this season. Brooke Bell had 10 kills, Kelsie Murray and Julie Staffler six each, and Halle Hess had 11 digs.

Alycia Wodke and Jasmyn Keohohina-Malina each had nine kills for CSI (6-3), ranked No. 2 in the NJCAA. Keohohina-Malina also had five blocks, and Ashelyn Jones had eight kills and five blocks.

Both teams play at the Starr Corporation Invitational today and Saturday at CSI.
