Junk2funk is Saturday

| October 11, 2016 9:00 PM

Kootenai Environmental Alliance will be hosting its eighth annual junk2funk fashion show at the Eagles Ballroom in downtown Coeur d’Alene Saturday at 6 p.m. Tickets are $35 and are available for purchase online at kealliance.org or at The Art Spirit Gallery, 415 Sherman Ave. Tickets go fast, so don’t wait!

Junk2funk is a community favorite for both local artists and attendees! A 1 p.m. Saturday matinee will feature the junk2funk KIDS. Kids from all ages will strut their stuff on the runway modeling their eco-creative fashions made with recycled materials. Tickets for the KIDS show are only $5 and available at the door.

The two performances feature local artists of all ages and genders rocking the runway in “eco-fashions” made from “junk,” “trash” and recycled materials. This year’s theme, Join Together, celebrates the backbone of KEA — its membership.

Sponsors include:

Doma Coffee, RDI, The Art Spirit Gallery, Syringa, The Bluebird, Specialty Tree Services, Inc., Jimmy John’s, Gaia Goods, Crowberry, Mix-it-Up and Animal Allies.
