Mabelle Chapin, 89

Mabelle Chapin, 89, passed away Nov. 17, 2016, in Post Falls, Idaho, following a brief illness.

She was born in Jonesport, Maine, Sept. 18, 1927, and was a longtime resident of Isle Au Haut, Maine, where her husband was a lobster fisherman, and died in 2000.

She was an active member of the Red Hats in the Coeur d’Alene area, and will be missed by all.

She is survived by her son, Lee and his wife, Patti of Post Falls; along with two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

A gathering will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 1, 2016, at Orchard Ridge, 702 W. Walnut, Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.
