COEUR d'ALENE — The inspection of the two Blue Creek Bay bridges, eastbound and westbound on Interstate 90 on the east side of Coeur d’Alene, is scheduled to begin today at 7 a.m. and extend through the end of the week.
The deck surface will be inspected to ensure continued safety.
Traffic will be detoured around the bridges during the inspection, which is slated from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day, and the speed limit will be reduced to 55 mph.
Although traffic will be limited to one lane in the area (milepost 18-22), only minor delays of five minutes or less are expected. Vehicles will be funneled to the lane farthest from the inspection area.
Local crews from contractor Parsons Brinkerhoff will perform the inspections.
