CRASH: And a complaint

| November 25, 2016 8:00 PM

Last Friday night I was a victim of what I would call hot rodding by an 18-year-old girl in a 2016 Camero. Which ended up in her slamming on her brakes in front of me on Ramsey Road. After sliding into her from 15 feet away and damaging the front end of my car, she lied to the police officer and he threatened me with writing me a ticket to get me to shut up when I was trying to tell him what happened so he could avoid the paperwork. I even called him later and he said to me again that I had no rights and what truly happened didn’t matter because he didn’t believe me although I had a witness too.

This is the non-protection I have experienced from the police department twice in a little over a year so they could avoid paperwork. This time my daughter saw how mean the police officer was to me after me being victimized by a young careless driver. What message did this send to her as well as to me yet again? The criminal is protected more than the victim and the police officer showed no care at all to the truth rather he went with the lies told to him. Sad police get away with such treatment with a victim that resulted in a non-needed car accident and an outlook from a teenager who no longer looks to our police for safety and concern. Sad Day.
