HAYDEN — Three men were injured Wednesday afternoon after a two-vehicle collision at Huetter and Lancaster.

According to the Kootenai County Sheriff's Office, 27-year-old Brenden Keith was driving a 1995 Saturn northbound on Huetter when he ran a stop sign at the intersection of Huetter and Lancaster, striking a 1985 Ford F250 utility truck.

The truck was driven by 45-year-old Matthew Free, who was traveling westbound on Lancaster, who then struck a power pole. He was trapped in his truck until he was extracted by emergency crews.

Richard Powell, a passenger in Keith's car, was ejected.

As of Wednesday night, Powell was in critical condition, Keith was treated for minor injuries and Free was in serious but stable condition.

The sheriff's office reported that although marijuana and paraphernalia were found in Keith's car, there are no signs that drugs or alcohol contributed to the crash.
