Trevor Benoy, 35

Trevor Benoy, 35, passed away Nov. 9, 2016, after a short battle with cancer. Trevor was born in Fresno, Calif., on May 26, 1981, to Barbara Barnes and Richard Benoy.

He has two brothers, Brandon Benoy and Shane Colwell. He grew up in California and moved to Idaho on a more permanent basis in 1997. Trevor was known as one of the most caring people in the world. Friends and family remember him as selfless, considerate and one that would give anyone the shirt off his back. Trevor enjoyed being with animals and regularly volunteered at the local Humane Society. He was diagnosed with cancer less than a year ago and his battle was short.

Trevor is preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Barnes and his brother, Brandon Benoy.

Trevor is survived by his father, Richard Benoy and his brother, Shane Colwell. Trevor had a lot of friends that he considered family to him.

The memorial service for Trevor will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 26, 2016, at the Church of the Nazarene, 308 W. 12th Ave., Post Falls.
