Ann Pester, 95
Ann Irene Pester was born on Sept. 15, 1921, to Ben and Ada Ginter in Bradleyville, Mo. Ann answered the call of Jesus to spend eternity with Him, on Nov. 17, 2016. Ann was a resident at Wellspring Meadows, an assisted living home in Hayden, Idaho. Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Donald John Pester in July 2004, after a marriage of some 63 years.
Ann was the fourth of 15 children, and also preceded in death by four brothers: Art of Spokane, Wash., Lloyd of Christmas Valley, Ore., Harold of Missoula, Mont., and Ben of Deary, Idaho; three sisters, Lucille Rogers of Boise, Idaho, Viola Ganz of Wenatchee, Wash., and Millie Wolcott of Hayden, Idaho. Three living brothers: Russell of Milton Freewater, Ore., Joseph of Kennewick, Wash., and Paul of Oakhurst, Calif.; and one sister, Ellen of Colville, Wash.
Ann was employed as a legal secretary in the Seattle area where they lived in Edmonds, with a gorgeous view of Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains. Ann and Don moved to Leisure Park in 2003, enjoying winters in Green Valley, Ariz. They traveled to many places abroad as well as in the great U.S. of A.
In lieu of flowers, Ann would prefer that gifts be given to the Philanthropic Educational Organi-zation. Ann was a dedicated member of the P.E.O. for more than 60 years. This is a worldwide organization, among their many endeavors, also operates their own college, soon to be a full university, for young women, providing scholarships to those that need a little help to realize their potential and purpose in this life.
