Better safety, visibility sought

SPIRIT LAKE — Work began on Monday and continues through Dec. 2 to improve the safety for drivers and increase visibility by removing trees in a 1-mile section of Highway 41 just north of Spirit Lake in Bonner County.

The work will primarily occur on the southbound side of the road, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.

ITD is partnering with the Department of Lands and Newport Equipment Enterprises on the project.
