| November 20, 2016 8:00 PM

Retiring soon? Already retired? Want to continue your passion for providing solutions? Want to extend that computer knowledge? Want to help folks in your community?

Have I got an opportunity for you.

Tax-Aide is a program sponsored by the IRS and the AARP Foundation that assists low to moder income taxpayers with the preparation of their tax returns each year. This assistance is provided to the taxpayers at no cost to them.

Last year, 100 volunteer counselors in Kootenai and Shoshone counties assisted more than 5,500 of their neighbors with the preparation and submittal of their tax returns.

You can be part of this growing program, enjoy the camaraderie of your fellow volunteers, and participate in the “fun” of providing assistance to your neighbors. Join people like Warren Fisher, a Tax-Aide volunteer for more than 24 years.

C’mon down! Call Mr. Fisher at 765-6589.
