NIC WRESTLING: Great Falls tops Cardinals
COEUR d’ALENE — The visiting Great Falls Argos of the NAIA had wins in the first four weight classes on Saturday night to earn a 25-16 victory over North Idaho College in a dual at Christianson Gym.
Brent Evans pinned Arram Price at 157 pounds for NIC, which also got a major decision win by Trey Meyer at 165 and decisions by Levi Perry (184) and Cooper Thomas (285).
“They got out to a big lead and we kind of reeled them back in,” NIC coach Pat Whitcomb said. “Cooper got a nice win at 285, but they definitely outwrestled us tonight. We were looking at knowing it was going to be a tough match. We’re still looking to get the right pieces in the right places.”
