ELECTION: Make life better
Will someone please explain what “privileged white American” means? According to everything I am reading, they need to shut up, have no say in what is going on in this country and cannot relate to “how horrible” the situation is with the presidential outcome.
I am white. Because of extremely hard work all my life, coming from a place of struggle for every dime we ever had, doing two and three jobs as a single mom, not having much as I was growing up, I am now blessed with a life I love. I do all I can to care for others’ needs, especially my family and those I come in contact with. I know many people of color, even personally who have been more privileged than I ever was growing up, with nice homes, loving families, college educations, etc.
I don’t know if the people of this country can ever live together in peace until we stop seeing color and differences, stop living for self, start caring about others, their needs and start finding out each and every day how to be a blessing to someone else. I care about this country and all of its different people. I have been very concerned about the people running for the office of president. But I am not going to let the outcome cause me to be bitter, hateful and angry. I choose to move forward loving my fellow man with differences and make life better for everyone.
